■ Sapporo Asahiyama Music Festival

　This is a homemade music festival during which a chorus of about 300 citizens of Sapporo will sing together with professional singers.

■ Pacific Music Festival (PMF) 2010

　The Pacific Music Festival (PMF), founded in 1990 by the 20th century premier conductor, composer and educator Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990), is an international educational music festival.

■ Toyohira River Rafting Festival

　You can flow down the Toyohira River by using your own made raft or a rubber tube. Participants have to register before June 26.

Mt. Arai Ski-Jump Ground

Mt. Okura Ski-Jump stadium (Large Hill)
At the foot of Ski-Jump ground lies the Winter Sports Museum where you can learn the history of winter sports in Sapporo. There is also an exhibition about the 1972 Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo. There’re also various kinds of "assimilation winter sport games" including ski jump.

　You can go to the top of the Ski-Jump ground by chair lift. You will enjoy there a panoramic view of the city. Especially over the week-ends, ski-jumpers come here to practice ski-jumping. It’s so exciting to see human beings flying like birds.

■ Otaru Ushio Festival (Otaru City)

　About 5,000 people will gather at Ushioondo and parade toward the port. Shops will be open and different events will be held, such as the firework display on the last day (20:00-21:00, about 2,500 shots). If the weather is clear, fireworks will be also shot from Tenguyama.

■ Hokkaido Sky Sports Fair in Takikawa (Takikawa City)

　You can experience glider (tickets drawn by lottery) , sport kite. Air shows will also be held. Urchins and shrimps fished on the same morning and transported to the venue of the fair by plane, will be sold.
