From April to Oct., various kinds of flowers are seen all over, arranged colorfully in every flower-bed besides in the trees planted all the way of 12 blocks in this park., In block west 12, beautiful Rose Garden is cherished .Flower Festival is held every June.

Rose Garden CHIZAKI

On the hillside garden, about 400 species of beautiful roses are carefully cherished., They bloom either from the end of June to the beginning of Aug., or from the beginning of Sep. to the end of Oct.. Here, we can enjoy both the beauty of flowers and the panoramic landscape of Sapporo City.

Maeda Forest Park

In this spacious park, you find pretty azaleas, lilac flowers blooming, spotted in many places. In June, from the observatory, the view of purple wisterias blooming, drooping from square openings in the lattices is marvelous, telling us summer is around the corner. Walking along the path of poplar trees or silver birch is also refreshing.
