Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, constructed with white exterior walls and a sloped roof, exhibits paintings and sculptures by Hokkaido artists including Eien Iwahashi, Tamako Kataoka, Kinjiro Kida and Nissho Kanda.

The museum has a famous collection of glass arts, ranging from Art Nouveau pieces to works from the present day. Don’t miss the collection by artists of the Ecole de Paris. Take the time to enjoy the world of modern art.

Closed: Mon. (open on Mon. that falls on a nat’l holiday / will be closed on the following Tuesday), year-end holidays and New Year’s holidays; additional holidays when the exhibits change

Admission: 500 yen for adults, 250 yen for high schoolers ( free for high schoolers on Sat.).
Free for those who are 65 and over or with disability certificate.

Note: For special exhibitions, the admission fee varies by exhibition.

Access: A 5-min. walk from the No. 4 Exit of Nishi juhatchome Subway Sta. (Tozai Line).

Note: Taxi fare is about 800 yen from Sapporo Sta.

Parking: Paid parking is available (discounted for visitors).
