| Odori Park, originally laid out as the fire-break, divides
the city center into the north-south, stretching about 1.5 km,
covering 12 blocks with TV tower in west 1 is an oasis for the
citizens situated in among office-buildings.
In every block of this park, we find attraction, monuments ,
artworks, play-areas, fountains, not to mention the beauty of
the seasonal flowers and trees. Among the artworks, the great
work of Isamu Noguchi is well known.
All along the park, we have about 92species 4,700 trees such
as lilacs, elms, Japanese zelkovas, azaleas and about 50 cherry
trees.
In every season, many events are held here including the world-famous
Snow Festival.
