SAPPORO-TEINE (Olympic zone)
Known for its variety in the courses for all levels of skiers. In commemoration
of 1972 Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo, the Olympic flame-holder is set,
as its “ Slalom” was held here. For the experienced skiers, the slalom
course is steep, challenging.

- By taxi: about 40min from Sapporo JR Station (approx. 5,000 yen). About 15 min.
from Teine JR Station (approx. 2,000 yen)
- By JR: about 20 min. from Sapporo JR Station to Teine JR Station. Take a JR Bus for "Teine Yama Ropeway" at bus stop no. 70, and get off at "Teine Olympia mae" (in front of Mt. Teine) (about 20 min.)

Located in the west of Sapporo, with a great view over the city and the
sea of Japan on sunny days. You can enjoy in the fresh air various kinds
of courses for all levels of skiers.

Sapporo-Kokusai Skiing Ground
Located in the south of Sapporo, not far from Jyozankei Hot Spring Resort,
this is one of the most popular ski-grounds, thanks to its good quality
of snow, its good access to spas, and its many courses for all levels of
skiers. People often stay in spas while enjoying skiing.

Sapporo Moiwayama Skiing Ground
Every slope is different; the South one is
for beginners. You can enjoy the view over the white Sapporo. You can rest in the
lodge for free and eat rice bowls with your children.
*Ski only. No snowboarding.
*Rental skis only available at North Slope.

Bankei Ski Area
Close to Sapporo downtown. Since the ground is open until 10 at night,
you can enjoy a wonderful night view of Sapporo from the top of the mountain.
The place may be not satisfactory to advanced skiers, but it is perfect
for beginners. There is also a space for kids to play, so you can come
in family.
