There are 3 venues for the Snow Festival: Odori Park and Susukino in downtown, and Sapporo Community Dome (Tsudome). This last one is located north-east of downtown, at 8 min. walk from Sakaemachi Subway Station (Toho Line). The "Sapporo White Illumination" event will be held near Odori Park until the end of the Snow Festival.

Odori park Site

Main venue stretching about 1.5 km east-west, 12 blocks lined with snow architectures, beautifully illuminated after dark. In each block, various kinds of events are held every day.
An international snow-statue contest”is held in West 11 block, where the pretty May Pole (a gift from our sister-city Munich) stands.

Susukino Site

Busy town after dark, with hundreds of places for wining and dining, lined with 100 artistic ice sculptures. 10 minutes’walk southward from Odori venue.

Sapporo Community Dome (Tsudome)

Tsudome is a recreation sport center for Sapporo Citizens. During the festival, snow games will be organized outside, while food shops will stand inside the building.

Maruyama Zoo

During the Sapporo Snow Festival, Maruyama Zoo, located 15 min by car from downtown, will also organize its Snow Festival.
