Sapporo Grand Hotel is the oldest western style accommodation of Hokkaido.
It was built in 1934 and is located at the center of the city. It has witnessed
the changes and development of the city for more than 70 years.
The hotel is close to both Sapporo Station and Odori Park, conveniently
located for business, shopping and sightseeing. Near the hotel are the
former Hokkaido government building, the Botanic Garden of Hokkaido University
and the Clock Tower. It might be a good idea to enjoy walking and visiting
these places.
Some parts of the hotel are original, some are renovated, but the spirit
of hospitality of the well mannered staff has been the same all the time
since the hotel was built.
Among the suite rooms, the "Super Suite" is the biggest of all
the hotels in Sapporo. Its simple quiet color coordination of the furniture
and the not too decorative atmosphere are sure to make the visitors relax
and feel at home.
The 4th floor of the main building and the east building is a special
floor named "Grand in Grand" and contains 15 different design
suite-rooms. It also has its own reception desk and lounge. All the rooms
are spacious and tastefully designed.

※The former Hokkaido government building and the Clock Tower has an unexpected
atmosphere. The inside is surprinsingly wide, and you can feel the history
in their wall. Since there is no admittance fee, please free to come and
visit them.

Spacious, bright dining-room with a big table available for meetings.

The bedroom, coordinated in quiet colors, is placed in a spacious corner.
The former Hokkaido government office and its pretty garden can be seen
from the windows of the room.

The former Hokkaido government office is a national cultural treasure.
There is a museum inside, whose admission is free. In spring, this is a
good place for cherry blossom viewing. The fresh green color of the trees
in early summer, the red and yellow changed color of their leaves in fall
or the white snow in winter pleases the visitors.
